MLK and Malcolm X

MLK and Malcolm X had the same views just different approachs to it. MLK was pro non violence. Malcolm X point was to get your point across no matter what the cost is. But once he came back from over seas he switched his point of view to non violence. People were confused about this but he saw peace over seas and that changed him.

Mertiocracy

I think that if you tell people for long enough they will believe that they are superior or not superior. As done in the class room what can be sweat kids turn into mean people filled with hatred toward other people. Same happens when your parents tell you stuff when you are growing up. Your told over and over agian what your parents believe and youe believe in those things.

I am an African American student
I wonder why white people hate me
I hear mobs yelling at me
I see 100 army soldiers
I want society to be normal
I am an African American student

I pretend im in a happy place
I feel like making a stand for my race
I need people to understand
I worry about the mob
I cry because my people are seprated

I am a African American student
I understand why white people hate me
I believe our nation can be equal
I dream of a world where color doesnt matter
I try to get an education
I have hope for a better nation

Dear Mr. Pepe,

I think that is very important for students to learn about all of our history. Even stuff liked the Rape of Nanking is very important. It shows us the reality of what was going on on the other side of the world. I always thought the Japaneses were very honorable people but after learning that I know that they really were not.

Recreate an image of a scene from the film and post this image to your blog with a few lines of commentary about why you chose this scene. You may col

I picked this picture of James Braddock because it shows he wasn't just a fighter. It also shows that he was a family man. You really don't see big time athletes with their family's and thats why i think this picture is important.

Acrostic poem

People came over
Rounded up our boos
Oh no the popo are
Here run
Into the harbor
Because the popo are near
I was never here
Tonight we go out to fight
Into the town center we go
Onward we cry on our way
Nobody's their except the popo

Rolling down the street
Out searching for giggle water
Although we cant find the hootch
Repealling down the brewery
Into the dark on the night
No progress made
Grouping up together

Team work is the way
We jump the fence
Enclosed by the cops
Never we thought we could break
Through the popo to get our boos
In the brewery we went
Enclosed by a lock
Sucker punched the guard we did. We finally got out boos

Write a reflection on what you learned from the organized crime small group presentations

I learned a couple of things about organized crime in our small groups. One of the things I learned was how the criminals changed the way cops, FBI, CIA worked. If those gangsters never did what they did the Judaical system wouldn't be the same. Also the tactics they use wouldnt be the same without them. For example when they tried to catch a bunch of gangsters in a hotel but they went through the front doors and didnt cover the back. Now they surround the whole building so nobody can get out.
